Dirleton Castle

A powerfully fortified private castle that dominates a Norman (i.e., typically English)
village; it would have been nice to be lord of the manor here; excellent interior arrangements over three separate phases of building, being very instructive to aficionados of domestic and protective trends in the history of residential castles. The grounds and village are beautiful.
